Oh How I Miss The Buhay Promdi.

Walking around the bukid making palipad of saranggola, making ligo at the creek, making laba by the ilog, then make pakain of the baboy and other poultry animals.

I also miss the times when I make akyat of puno ng mango then make pitas of the frouwts. Especially the hilaw ones. Kasi I like to make sawsaw in the alamang/ bagoong. It tastes so freaking sarap.

And one more thing. When you go to the kanto at aling nena's mini grocery store(sarisari store) they have that masarap na chicken guts, if i remember it tama they kinda call it like isaw-isaw??? Because you make sawsaw of it in the sawsawan made of vinegar and sili.

Kuliglig. It’s like our place’s ultimate mode of transportation. It looks like a wagon/ chariot but instead of a kabalyo, we make use of a modern makina, which is powered by gasoline. I don’t know why it was called kuliglig. But I have this theory that it came from the uni/ tunog it makes when you make paandar of the makina. When you pull the galot/rope to start the makina, it produces the sound like “Ku-lig-lig-lig-lig-lig-lig”. It’s what we use to go to the taltalun and make mula of irik and nateng. We use to have a kuliglig but now no more. It has rusted through the years whats’s left is only the dalig because it is made of rubber and rubber will not make lati.

Oh gosh I almost forgot about the ride with tatlong gulong. The taxicle. I so enjoyed riding at the top of it when I was still in the grade school. It’s like riding the titanic when you’re on top. “ I’m the king of the world.”Ahaha.

Then also I miss playing along with my tropa beside the kalyes, I have this team sort of, whom i play with the so called paway/paoay? It's a game where you make tapon of you tsinelas to hit the other players’ tsinelas. There was one time my tatay came looking for me because it was almost gabi na and i was still in school playing that paway/paoay thingy, then I saw my tatang with a baot/pamalo. So I have to make takbo and lock myself in the banyo so I will not be palo by my tatang. Ahaha.

So much to tell but so little time because I’m too busy na here in the city of New York. Oh how I wish I get to my bario this coming spring. I so really miss my baryo Bayombong. Ahah miss you people of Bayombong! Ahahahahahaha

Before this week ends I’ll be going home to may baryo and will be probably celebrating because I’m now a member of the most noble profession in the world, the Profession of NURSING.
