Life Is Hard

We all know life is hard, so hard that no one has ever got out of it alive. Even before our parents’ seeds made contact, we were already struggling fiercely for survival. Our fathers’ seed that would soon be a part of us had to go through the seemingly harmless but toxic passageway to our mothers’ seed that is waiting desperately just to be fertilized. And when they united, that is the start of our lives, one challenging life. But we still have to endure nine long months inside our mothers’ womb for us to see the bitter sweet world waiting for us. When we first breathe in air and first saw light, death has already welcomed us to this cruelly kind world. The moment that we signed up for life is the same moment that we registered our names in death’s checklist. For us to be fed, we have to cry out loud for our parents to hear us. We have to cry for them to know that we are in pain and in need of their comforting care. We have to work for the things we need, and exert extra effort for...

Why did i call my blog Emptybox? You are probably asking the same question too. A philosopher once said that man is a "tabula rasa", meaning "an empty slate". Before paper was invented, ancient people leave carvings/ markings/ writings on rocks. The ancient people told their tales on cave walls or large smooth surfaces. Now in our time, we call that vandalism. They told stories about their lives; how they hunted for foods; how they had fun; how they started a family; and how they interacted with their environment. They put into writing the things that they wanted to remember as time goes by. The rocks are the forefathers of our diaries, a prehistoric blog where they kept their memories. As mentioned by Dr. Holly Pittman, director of the university's center for ancient studies and organizer of the symposium, observed, writing "arose out of the need to store information and transmit information outside of human memory and over time and over space." ...

My First Ever Blog (MFEB)

hi there  guys, this is my first blog. so don't expect too much out of it. though i'm not new to the world of blogging i'm not yet that good in  blogging. so if there are anything you want to say about my blogging, please do feel free to leave a comment on my postings. now that Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr are the leading social networking sites, i don't  expect much people to be viewing Blogspot anymore unlike before when Blogspot was the place for social networking and media sharing. i was just sucked in the world of blogging when i saw this tiny Facebook gadget called the Profile Badge. i clicked it and it brought me to a page where it asked me to chose to what site i will be posting  my  badge. and i have none among the choices. the only choice  familiar to me was this site, the Blogspot. because i wanted to use the Profile Badge, i made an account here in Blogspot. at first i was like a blind man walking through the the open space. i...
